So the other day I heard my boys talking with their friends about bones and skeletons and how they go together, and being a homeschool mom I started asking questions right, to see what they knew. Well come to find out they had been scavengers and had a whole collection.
My first thought was ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Go wash your hands!! TELL ME YOU DIDN'T TOUCH THAT!! But in the end we had a great conversation about the owl that lives in our barn and the life cycle of animals. It was really fun to see their curiosity explode. Honestly though, we are pretty sure that the owl didn't kill these poor little creatures, a rat, and 2 birds, but we all know now how sick you can get from dead animals, and you don't have to pick up everything you find!!!
