For atleast 1 to 2 years Wild Alot has been begging us to take him to the Airforce Museum and to the Dinosaur Museum. So when my old college roomates wanted to have a get together in Lehi we decided it was the perfect opportunity to go. So we secretly packed the kids bags, put them in the van and took off. We told them we were going to go and get gas, maybe head to the store. When we showed up at Hill, they were really surprised, but nothing matched the excitement on their face when we showed up at the hotel and told them we weren't going home. They were so excited. Here is a few pictures from the trip.
Thats us underneath, I still can't believe how big some of those planes are!
There was an old retired guy working there who let us get in one of the big helicopters. That was so fun.
I could see that Wild alot was eating it up. He should though, Every time I read to him he brings me a book about planes or Jets, usually I am bored to tears, but he wants me to read and read and read.
This was my favorite exhibit at the Dinosaur museum. The Megalodon, I hope there aren't any of those still hiding in the ocean.

I laughed so hard when I saw the picture of you guys with the shark! We go to Thanksgiving Point every year and EVERY year, we get a family picture in front of that shark. It's sort of like the lion drinking fountain at the zoo, true? It marks the years.
Fun! Surprise trips are the best. I'm a sucker for the air force museum...can't wait to take our kiddo. I think that she and Wild Alot have tons in common!
my kids would die if we took them to a hotel...they keep asking!
